Bella Luna Free Facial treatment/Body Massage therapy

Few days ago, I came across CY's blog - The Beauty Regime, her post on Bella Luna: Free Body or Facial Therapy (worth RM350) up for grabs! I follow her instructions in her post, register as member and print out the voucher to redeem a body massage. I choose the Solaris Mont Kiara outlet, is nearer to me than going to BTS. I called up for appointment, telling them how i got the voucher and arrange a date to come. Mind you, they don't open on sundays.

The solaris outlet is quite new, but is pretty noisy as the nxt door is havin renovation. The body massage oil they use jamu oil (an indonesian herb oil), mostly used for post natal treatment for slimming and also reduce wind. My therapist also mentioned their massage will also regulate our menstrual period, as they will massage our stomach where the ovary area too. Post pregnant ladies and girls with irregular periods is recommended to take this body massage treatment.

My therapist name is Brenda, she is a middle age lady, with very good massaging skills and good strength. My neck and back is the most tensed area, after her massage, immediately I fall asleep. But i can't proceed to my sleep yet, as she need to apply body mask all over which i need to stand up for her to do that. After applying the body mask, felt a little cold on my skin coz it has some menthol in it. After that, a body wrap all over like a mummy, but a transparent one. haha

Then climbed back to the bed, proceed to a steamer relaxing session. She pulled over a plastic looks more like a tent to me, like u sleeping underneath a tent with your head sticking out. The plastic wont touch ur body. It placed above you, you can with the steam coming out on top of ur body. There, she leaves me 25 mins to sleep, I did slept away for probably 15 to 20 mins, but the noise from the next door renovation wakens me. I already could feel my body sweating, detox time!

When 25 mins past, she came back to cut off the body wrap, and is time for me to take shower. The shower room is inside the room itself, you don't need to walk outside the room, I like it tis way though.

According to my weight before and after, I have lost 0.4kg. I guess those are water retention, but if i drink water later again, it will b go back the same weight.

Overall: the massage is good, my masseuse is superb!

Of coz, although tis session is free, the sales representatives trying to ask us to sign up. If you don't plan to sign up in saloon, better don't bring credit cards. :P For me, my ears not that soft, i could resist. Before you sign up, i think you can check out their package in different outlet, you never know which gives you the best price.

Restoran Meng Kee Char Siew, Glenmarie

One of the weekday, my guy suggested to have char siew for lunch at Glenmarie Industrial park.
When we arrive there, it was office lunch hour, the place was packed! Lucky only both of us, we get to grab a small table at the back near the kitchen. If u take a real look at the kitchen, the floor was all oily, coz they take the char siew straight from the pot and walked straight to the front shop to chop them. So the oil is dripping on the floor. Actually the whole shop, its floor is oily. So becareful when u walk.
Our char siew arrive, is black at the side, but is not burned. You could see the fats aroud the char siew. I took my first char siew in my mouth, it melts in the mouth, so tender! So heavenly good, yet sinful the same time. The vege we order also quite oily, but taste good.
After the meal,I felt a little dizzy and uncomfortable. As I have consumed the most fats of the yr in one lunch meal. This meal you could have it once in a while, not everytime. :)

Singapore Makan-makan!

It's been a long time since i have last blogged. Because my laptop was dead after i accidentally kick it down to the floor, and it went blacked out. Now am havin my new pc, so hopefully i wil be able to update where i eat and where i shop, and places i go. :)

Aronud june, I visited Singapore. Found some good food places, i was suprised that there are plenty of delicious food around in Singapore. The food standard in their food court in shopping malls are deliciously cooked. Unlike Malaysia's shopping mall food court, sometimes you just cant trust them.

This was taken at a shopping mall, which i cant recall which. This braised duck rice is so far the best i have tasted.

My frend ordered a tempura bento. Mine's better. :)

Upon recommendation, we have our lunch at Ishi Mura Japanese food court in Pomo Centre @ Selegie road. First time dine in a japanese food court, interests me. There are different kinda of stalls selling different kind of japanese food, from ramen to okonomiyaki to rice burgers. The price of the food here is reasonably affordable, around $10 or below.

I have ordered this
Beef Patty Omu rice - thumbs up for tis!!
( omelette rice with beef burger on top, with black pepper sauce)

My frend order this delicious Italian style cookin of ramen.

I would highly recommend this Ishi Mura to those looking for affordable and yummy eating out place in Singapore. They have several branches around there.

Next day, we went to Maxwell food court near Red Dot Design Museum, Maxwell road.
We saw this Tian Tian Hainanese chicken rice stall has a long que, so we thought this must be a famous stall. So my frend que for the chicken rice. Guess what? My fren qued for an hr!!! The effort does pays off, he ordered 2 plates of chicken rice instead, so to make the que worth while. LOL!

The chicken rice is superbly good, the chicken is tender and smooth. The rice are well cooked and aromatic.

Me, what was i doing when my frend que at the chicken rice stall? I que at Zhen Zhen porridge stall. See the que!!! It takes me almost an hr to get my porridge. I almost give up, but i didnt.

I ordered a fish porridge with a plate of Yu sang (sashimi/raw fish). See, it looks like some kinda kerabu rite? With lots of beansprouts and sesame seeds, add w lime juice. Actually is quite good, just that we r not so used to tasting raw fish with porridge. Something different. :)

A must visit place, the Muji shop!! Love their stuff, one of things i bought - Pork Calpas! I think i could eat tis snack anytime!!

Acca Kappa brush craze.

Last week I came across this shop Acca Kappa in 1utama, new wing, in between La senza and xixili shop. From first appearance, is a beauty and bath shop. It sells gorgeous luxurious different flowers type of fragrance of soaps, body shampoos, lotions, hand creams, shampoos etc. On my 2nd visit, then i got to know their best seller is their magical hair brushes and combs. Amazingly, when i use their brush on my hair, Voila! My hair is so easy to comb thru and is very light n smooth then. Usually my hair after brush also will have frizzy and tangle up too. This time my hair seems like after a blowdry. The sales assistant pointed at the brush that got no droppin of hair in the brush. Coz the brush is good it dun grip ur hair when u comb and its antistatic too. The SA also told me not to comb my hair while its wet, it will pulled the hair even more, should wait till its half dry. A very good tip.

Now, my first ever most expsive brush - a pneumatic 353. (RM120)
Use of Kotibe wood, can last till 25 yrs. Natural rubber cushion. Round ended tips for delicate massage of the scalp for stimulate micro circulation.

This one for my mom: pneumatic 941. (RM180) This is their best seller. Use of boar hair. So sorry to the Muslim that they cant use this. It's made of large quantity of tufts in pure boar, pure boar and nylon, nylon with rounded tips. Designed so that every individual tuft penetrates through the hair to the scalp. The large quantity of tufts ensure that the scalp is stimulated whilst the hair shaft is polished. The specific shape of the natural rubber cushion allows the pressure to be absorbed and distributed evenly on the whole brush with a more delicate action on the hair and the scalp. An anti-static brush ideal for medium/long hairdressing.

The SA told me that they have promotion now, purchase RM150 products, a free soap (worth RM40). Or purchase RM300 products, free a set of soap, body lotion, and body shampoo (worth RM190). Term: Hair brushes doesnt count, u need to buy at least ONE spa products to able to get the free gift. Like my case, my hair brushes total RM280, but i wont entitle a free soap. I need to get ONE spa product. So I get a White Moss soap. Total damage: RM340

Now am entitle for the free set which worth (RM190) Yay, am so lookin forward on gettin the Rose set since my 1st visit. Now my wish comes true. :)

Their bizness philosophy: manufacture products for today that last for the future. So i guess the brushes will serve me a long time! Again, am lookin forward to get their big paddle brush. :P Oh i mst share this with u babes, the hair serum also one of their best seller. The hair serum was one of their best seller, and always goes out of stock and if you wanan purchase you're gona be in the waiting list.

One interesting fact from Acca Kappa. They were the official brush supplier to Queen Elizabeth and the royal family. Now you'll find their exclusive White Moss collection in any Four Seasons suite. Which is if i get to stayed there...

*Disclaimer: am sharing this based on my experience. I declares that I have not received any monetary/benefts compensation from this place for writing the review.

Makan-makan in Seremban & Melacca!

One of the weekday, me and my colleagues plan for a day trip makan-makan at Seremban and Melacca.

We left around 8am in the morning from Subang. The sun was not up yet, we with our sleepy eyes heading to the 1st destination - Seremban with the guidance of Gamin - our trustable "talking" road map. The journey was a successful one, as Gamin did not failed us by bringing us to elsewhere we arrive safely at Pasar Besar Seremban.

Here its infamous stall - Sin Yee Kee beef noodle!
One bowl only cost around RM6 plus. 3 of us ordered the thick noodle and take a look at the beefs are so tender and alot!! They taste good and fresh! Definitely worth the money.
Another frend order the bee hun beef noodle soup. Ohh..am usually the person who reject beef balls, coz most of the time the beef balls are kinda hard, this one is exceptional. The beef balls here are like fish balls, not too chewy and fresh.

After taking our beef noodle breakfast. Time to leave and headin to Melacca!! We arrive at Jonker street, "Gu Cheng chicken rice ball " shop. This shop is quite famous, if you do watch those chinese new year mtv, where alot of people singing tat famous "Ta tuan yuan" song. The mtv is taken here in this shop.

We are here to taste the cendol, not the chicken rice. :) The cendol here is delicious, not too sweet and not too bland.

Time for lunch! We went over to Ho Kee chicken rice shop. There were alot of people queing up to get in. Thank goodness we arrived before the crowd take place.

The chicken rice ball were hot and nice, the chicken well is kinda not bad. We have taste better once though. We order half chicken as the teenager guy waiter recommended us. Then we realised that the same waiter recommended others to take half chicken too. Hmmm....

After havin heavy meals accumulate from morning. We stroll along jonker street and I've purchased a batik cheongsam from Mei Hua trading shop. There have loads of cheongsams, well equiped than the ones in KL. Plenty of variety and price is definitely cheaper than KL.
We drove out from jonker street to this shop which sells loads of variety of biscuits/cookies. The shop name call Yong Sheng, a huge biscuits shops which sells stuff like mochi, lou por peng, tou sar peng....I bought their famous n best seller biscuit - Egg Yolk pies. Inside the egg yolk is HUGE! Is bigger than the one u see in mooncake. They also mention their egg yolk is chosen from the best ones to make. The egg yolk pies quite expensive, but i guess is worth the money.
Next, we supposed to have our early dinner at a nyonya place, but is not open. So we decided to try Peranakan restaurant, unfortunately not open too. We head back to Jonker street again!
This time we had our dinner at Jonker 88, we tried the cendol, it was not nice compare to the one we had. It was too sweet for me. The ingredients, beans not sufficient.
We ordered a nyonya nasi lemak set for 2 ppl. Comes with a salad and curry dao fu pok. Topped with baba curry laksa, and nyonya asam laksa. My first time tasted baba curry laksa, now is my favourite. Love the taste.

Overall this trip on food alone, we spend less than 50rm!! This is a one day 5 meals - less than 50rm! Isnt that great?
Oh the 5th meal, i didnt take pics. We had dimsum at Yuen Garden Dim Sum for supper. They serve very good dim sum. Is the best in puchong and Subang. So thats make the 5th meal! :) Now am lookin forward to our ipoh makan-makan trip few months later!
