A Shu Uemura fan now!

Few weeks ago, dropped by Shu Uemura counter after the Salabianca event@ Pavilion, to get my brow some trimming and styling. Since Tammy done hers in Shu, am curious to try too. Katherine, the Shue boutique manager trim n style my brows, she is a pro! And there I've became a Shu member.

I bought a Hard formula 9 eye brow pencil (RM65), which looks different from normal eye brow pencil. The tip is flat! The tip use it slantly to draw the tail of the brow, hold it straight and flat to color the front half of the brow. Very easy to use, I would say easier than angle brush with eye shadow (that's my previous way of drawin my brows). I've also bought a blusher -M Pink 30 (RM82) and an eye lash curler (RM60). My frend Crystal bought a UV mousse base and a pair of falsies. Hers added to my bill accumulate to more than RM250, enable me to become a Shu member. Yippee!

Shu Uemura hard formula eye brow pencil, unique! :)
The price for tis pretty steep, but it gona last for a very long time, coz is a long eyebrow pencil. When the tip is shorten, bring this back any Shu outlet for them to sharpen for you FOC.
The color of tis eyebrow pencil doesnt show much or anything at all when you draw on your back of your hand, but it does come out on your eye brow, the formula mix with the oils on your brow result a natural and soft-looking eyebrows. Amazing!

Priviledges you get when you become a Shu fanatics/member! Only can claim the services from the same outlet :)

Haikara Style Cafe and Bakery, Subang

At the end of a tiring week we decided to re-visit this quaint little japanese cafe at Subang called Haikara. It seems that they are still going strong and has grown bigger, taking over another shop lot. This is no surprise as they serve very homely japanese food and great pastries and bread!

We start with simple, almost zen-like, appetizers. mushroom soup served in very interesting cups and fresh salad with just a right dollop of dressing. Nothing too heavy, just perfect as starters.

The chicken croquette is done just right, not too dry not soggy. The Curry Chicken rice is one of the best I have ever tasted. There is a certain something extra in the curry sauce compared to the others that I have had. Maybe it's the additional texture. And you can choose your preference of the spiciness for your curry. The chicken is fresh and perfectly fried. This is my ultimate comfort food on a rainy night.

This is fusion food yet it tastes so deliciously home made. Spaghetti with Beef Stew Set came with a warm butter roll. You can tear the butter roll in pieces and dip with the stew sauce, excellent! The butter roll taste very much different and better than the one sold in other bakery shops. Beef is tender and the sauce is not too heavy, perfect sauce paired with spaghetti!

Finally we finished our meal with this exquisite dessert called 3 Color Cream Puff. Though it's not litereally 3 colours but the soft fluffy cream puff is filled with 3 types of creams, Whipped cream, red bean paste and custard cream.
There is a something quintessentially japanese about the food here even though the menu is not necessarily what we call classic japanese. The attention to detail in food preparation definitely is.

We plan to try out the charcoal roasted coffee and the Haikara Steak on our next visit!
We hope this gem of a cafe stay this way for a long time to come.

What's roasting in Empire Gallery??

Yesterday, when I was doing some grocery shopping inside Jaya Grocer, Empire. See what I've found?? Four Seasons restaurant gona open in Empire Gallery!! The famous roast duck that i like so much and visited several times when i was in London, is finally here!!! Their roast duck is the juiciest and yummiest that i've ever tasted...Am still could remember the long que to wait for tables to dine there!! Those good memories..and i hope this one taste as good as the one in London. Four Seasons actually has its first branch in Capsquare, but i havent visit them yet. Am gonna wait for this patiently...till they open. :)

Left: Pavlova (around RM14) frm Serai, Empire Gallery.
Right: Pavlova (around RM15)frm Alexis, Gardens.

On a different note, I have bought a slice of Pavlova from Serai @ Empire Gallery that day. The texture is quite differ from the one i had in Alexis Gardens. The Pavlova served in Alexis Gardens have more airy meringue texture. Whereas the one i bought from Serai, not much airy texture, with the middle part has spongy texture in between. Both taste good, depends on which texture you prefer.
