2nd visit to Uniqlo @ Fahrenheit 88, KL

My 2nd visit to Uniqlo, on the 3rd day after the grand opening. It was a Sunday morning around 10am. I thought there will be no queues, as we thought people won't wake up so early to queue for shopping at such ungodly hour. Damn...we were So Wrong about this. When we reach the entrance of Uniqlo, the queue has reached the entrance of Fahrenheit 88!!! My expression was: WHAT???? Queue again????

The queue reached the entrance of the mall.

20 minutes later, the queue extended to inside of the mall.

Slightly after 11am, our turn to get into the shop! Yay! When I reached the entrace of Uniqlo, there is another queue formed! We had to queue to validate our vouchers printed online. I was confused, it didn't happened one the first day, but why now???

The voucher need to print in full only valid. Half printed not valid. They will also checked your IC and your vouchers email. So vouchers are not transferable. I guessed the management now realised one can print duplicate vouchers to use many times. I remembered on their opening day, cashiers just took your voucher and stamped them and keep them. They didn't check the serial number of the voucher you used.

The people who worked at this counter here are quite impolite and not-well- informed. One of them told me that I can't use all the vouchers at once. Ya, that I know. He said that I need to queue again for each vouchers I used. @_@ Are you kidding me? I ignored him and continue to my shopping.

Long cotton pants - RM49.90 promo price. I love this cotton pants, very comfy material only at RM49.90.

Long sleeve premium cotton crew neck T @ RM39.90 each.
I thought this material would be hot, but it's pretty cooling becoz of the thin material but not transparent though. Good quality! 3 blouses for my mom.

RM39.90 each except the blue polo collar blouse @ RM79.90! I must have forgotten to look at the price. Anyway, my mom love the polo shirt most! She really have good eyes. haha

Bra padding camisole - RM49.90 promo price (ORP RM79.90)
This will come in handy if am going to wear a Zara white top, usually it's abit transparent or see through because of the thin material clothing.

Men anime t-shirt front view.

Back view of the t-shirt. Isn't it cute? Wish they have this for women t-shirt too!

Big fat cat anime men t-shirt. Nice!

The queue was not so bad as the first day, and NO I do not need to queue again and again when I need to use the vouchers. The person in charge of the queue told that I could use a single voucher for each transaction and pay for the next without the need of re-queing. It's just wasting time! Seriously, I think Uniqlo should improve their management, and there were complaints post up in their FB wall. We still waiting for them to clarify their terms but our questions were not answered.

Besides some unpleasantness, am still please with the good quality clothing Uniqlo offers with reasonable price.

Note: The vouchers can be used for promo and non-promo items on the 3rd day after opening. But a frend of mine went on the 4th day, the cashier told her that her vouchers can only use for promo items. The cashiers well not well informed on this again. Free alteration for pants/jeans if the pants/jeans is above RM50.

Uniqlo Opening @ Fahrenheit 88, KL

Uniqlo grand opening at 11am, 4th November 2010! Yipeee! Been looking forward some new overseas outlet to reach our shore so we can shop shop shop! This new store will be the biggest outlet in South East Asia, it has 3 floor! My first Uniqlo clothes were given to be by my mom-in-law, cool eh? The material is superb and comfy.

What's so speical on the opening day?? The first 500 people who queue up at the door will stand a chance to win the golden ticket to win one of the five all-expense paid trip for two to Tokyo!! Not just that, the first 1000 people in line will get a free original Uniqlo tote bag and also special discounts on certain items in the store. Sounds pretty exciting, me and my frens already planned to be there in the wee hours of the morning. This is the first time in my life that I got up so early to queue for something. Never done it for a concert or warehouse sale before.

We arrived around 5.30am, less than 60 people in the line.
This picture was taken at 6.49am.
I was at the front of 2nd line. The first line started on the left of the pic.
The arrangement of the queue was not organised at first, as the security guards were not very sure how the queue gonna be like, we moved around twice.

More people at 7.24am.

The queue extends to the entrance of the Fahrenheit 88.

Crazy long queue from the entrance to the inside of the mall.

An advantage to queue inside the mall is you get to enjoy the cooling air-conditioned. While we the ones came earlier will hav to stand under the sun and getting sweaty.

Media appeared around 10am -NHK, 8TV, Hitz fm, My fm....

This is the moment we're waiting for! Luckily, the organisers handed out Uniqlo win-a-trip-to-Tokyo card to the first 5oo people in line. Yipee I was the first 50 people. Wheeee! What I need to do is to fill up the details in the card, and then later submit a receipt of my puchase together with this card at the cashier counter. No minimum spend required.

(3rd frm left: UNIQLO's Chairman, President & CEO, Mr Tadashi Yanai at the opening ceremony. The guy in blue checks shirt, Calvin, he was the first guy who queued up at 10pm last night.Wow Hardcore Uniqlo fan?! The crowd was cheering and got excited when the doors of Uniqlo soon to be opened.

When I left at 1pm, the queue still long as ever.

My haul: A pack of leggings comes with 2 pairs at RM9.90 only. I get my frend to buy a black leggings, and me grey leggings, then we exchange a pair with each other. Mickey t-shirt at RM29.90 last piece!! Butterfly sleeve flowery print with hidden tweety bird RM29.90!

Lastly, a free Uniqlo tote bag. :)
Oh, forgot to mention that the customer service is superb!! They treat you like VIPs, each SA will stand right infront of each fitting rooms. It's very convenient and thoughful for them to assist that way, so we don't need to running in and out of the fitting room. But if you brought the wrong size of clothes, you can exchange them within 14 days with attached label.

Note: Promotional price will be up for a week. Bring along your printed vouchers, use one voucher for one transaction. Vouchers can be use for promotional items too. Each voucher is only valid for ONE MONTH from the date of issue. Only one voucher can be used per purchase.
(Information gathered from the cashiers, hope the info still valid unless they change their mind)

Sephora and Uniqlo store open soon in KL!!

Earlier we heard rumours that Sephora gonna open its store in KL. Yes, it is TRUE!! Spotted the hoarding right outside the entrance Starhill Gallery today. Judging from the image on the hoarding, it looks like a phuturistic glass house! It reminds me of the Louvre in Paris. Can't wait to see this awesome building and Sephora's wonderful stuffs.

Found a little info about Sephora on the web, thought of sharing it with you. Sephora is a chain cosmetics stores founded in France in 1993 by Dominique Mandonnaud. Who fashioned the store's unique name by blending the Biblical name of Zipporah (Moses' exceptionally beautiful wife) with the ancient Greek term of "pretty", sephos. What a uniqued name!

Owned by Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH), the world's leading luxury goods group. Today, Sephora is one of the leading chain of cosmetics and perfume stores in France and has 750 stores in 21 countries!! Wow!! Let's hope that the Sephora cosmetics price are not sky high. But I doubt that.

Another exciting outlet - Uniqlo!! A Japan leading clothing chain stores! This will be Uniqlo first ever flagship debut in Malaysia. Located next to Starhill Gallery, Fahrenheit 88 (formerly known as KL Plaza).

On a different note, I saw this 2 Style Cops were standing at the entrance of Pavilion today. They caught everyone's attention. Cute!
