Crystal Jade Kitchen 翡翠小厨 @ Pavilion, KL

When we left Uniqlo around 1pm, no more queues at the entrance. I turned my head to have one last look at Uniqlo before i left. I see huge crowd and the clothes are a mess! Good luck to shoppers who gonna shop later.

Crystal Jade restaurant established in Singapore in 1991, over the years their business expanded to China, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan and Malaysia. Years ago, my first visit to Crystal Jade restaurant was at Lot10, they were famous for La Mien (handmade noodles) and xiao long bao. But recently I revisited the place, the noodles were tasteless and food quality is not as great as used to be. Another outlet in Mid Valley, I love the yummy char siu, roasted pork and suckling pig there! Today we gonna try out this outlet in Pavilion.

Fried mixed grain rice with assorted grain in hot stone (RM20++)
Out of my expectation, usually mix grain rice don't taste good, but this particular one will be my favourite dish in this restaurant. The whole dish topped with spring onions and corns, brings out the fragrant of mix grains. The serving is quite big, can be shared with 2 -3 people. Very healthy and best of all yummie!

小笼包 Xiao Long Bao
This never disappoints me.

上汤苋菜
Chinese spinach soup with century eggs and salted egg yolk, love this tasty soup pairs very well with rice.

Siew Mai dumpling
The outlook was not appetizing, the taste not bad.

Har Kou/prawn dumpling, tasty! Perfect and better than other dim sum places.

Deep fried prawns with wasabi and almond flakes. Unique combination of flavours and crispy almond flakes, and I'm hooked!

Yummy pan fried carrot cake. This is a dish we never failed to order during dim sum time.

Overall the service and food quality is great! Now, I'm looking forward to try out their next outlet in The Gardens some time soon.

Sun Ming Restaurant, Cheras

Last sunday went to meet up with my bro at Tmn Connaught, Cheras. After meeting him, it was 4pm. Me n my frend felt a little hungry, althought we have had our lunch at this very nice yong tau foo place at TTDI still didnt filled our stomach. So we drived around Tmn Connaught to look for food. Then we passed by this shop, saw quite a que in the shop. We thought we give it a try.

We ordered roast duck with rice, char siew with rice and a plate of aubergines.

Personally I feel the roast duck is ok but the rice is very tasty. Thumbs up for the rice. I still think the best duck I had was from Four Season, bayswater, London. Their duck dishes is the most delicious.

The char siew dish taste good, tender and not too dry.
The aubergines are fried with some mince meat on the top, taste ok kinda oily to me, see the amount of oil in the pic? :P

The bill came to about 12rm plus, reasonable priced.
