Indulgence Event, Kiehl's Pajama party, SATC2

I was very lucky to be invited to last friday Indulgence event organised by KLCC. The event started around 5.30pm and ends around 6.30pm @ The Apartment, KLCC. When i was there, I saw some familiar faces, Fatin, Rane, Kelly, and Cia Wei! We were fed with finger food, and some delicious cheese cakes and mini cream puffs.

The event started off with the talk of Talika - a new brand in town came from Paris! Talika's products are mostly eye care. One of their best seller - Talika's Lipocils - treatments for eye lashes - it extends, restores colors and more curls on eye lashes. Up to 36% longer in 28 days! Lipocils Expert contains 12 plant extracts in it. The Eye Dream is a rejuvenating and hydrating eye masks.

Next on the list, RMk makeup demo on their latest gel emulsion foundation!

The texture is smoother than the normal powder type foundation. It feels creamy and moist at first but dries down to a nice lightweight smooth powdery finish after application.

We get to test on the RMK gel emulsion and Spring collection Isssey Miyake EDT for men and woman. The green bottle is for men (RM215), and the purple bottle is for women (RM228).


Followed by Fashion shows by BCBG (pic above), and Miss Sixty (pic below), am a very big fan of BCBG fashion...love their gorgeous dresses...

KLCC part 1: Acca Kappa workshop

Yesterday was a fun-filled day. Picked up Miu from Mt Kiara, rushed to KLCC on time. We were one of the first few who arrived at Acca Kappa workshop at 11am. Was hungry, me n Miu grabbed a curry puff from San Francisco Coffee before enter the Acca Kappa shop.

The workshop started with hand spa and massage session. First they use Acca Kappa scrub with grape polyphenols on my hand then massage my hand, palm and fingers. Then rinsed off, applied Rose body lotion.

Check out my hands!! Which hand has been pampered? Am sure you have guess the answer. The one on the right! See the skin on the back of my hand are fairer and smoother than the other.

Terence, the marketing manager introduced the company and explained the differences of each brushes.

Grapes and water were served.

He also mentioned that grapes are good for our body, it has anti-oxidant benefits. If you were to eat one or two grapes it wont benefit you, you need at least 10 grapes a day. Remember to eat the seeds too, this is the same as what my mom has told me. The seed of the grapes display inhibitory activities against several experimental disease such as cancer, heart failure and other disorders of oxidative stress.

I bought their mother's day promotion items. Buy a travel size pneumatic comb at RM100, get the 2nd one 50% off. It's a steal, since they never had sales or discounts on their brushes. (purchase above 200rm, get free engravings on the brushes! I engrave my mom's name on it :)

Functions of the brush: Ideal to prepare medium / long hair for styling. Round-ended tips for a delicate massage of the scalp that will stimulate the micro circulation. The specific shape of the natural rubber cushion enables the pressure to be absorbed and distributed evenly on the whole brush with a more delicate action for hair and scalp.

I also bought this small size wooden thermic brush, code 1986 @RM100. Bought this for the purpose to style my curls/perms.
Anti-slip handle with circular section in kotibé wood. Heat resistant nylon, ventilated aluminium barrel in different sizes.USE: Mainly used for quick blow-drying. The ventilated barrel allows greater flow of air from the dryer. The special finishing of the handle assures a perfect grip of the brush in any situation.

I had a hair makeover from Monica, hairstylist from A Cut Above using Acca Kappa brushes. She use the above thermic brush to style my hair with a hair dryer. Amazingly the curls was not hot after blow dry, as the thermic brush which is heat resistant, that ventilates the hot air which traps in your hair. So the heat wont be lock in your hair and causing damage . Brilliant!
However, quite unfortunately that I didn't have a chance to try on their hair products range. I wished they put on some Acca Kappa hair products to enhance my curls to make it hold or shine, anything frm the Acca Kappa hair range to give my hair a boost!

Miu and Fatin after their hair makeover! Aren't they look gorgeous? Actually we all came with a not so groom hair in the morning. Thanks to the great hair makeover, now we look presentable! lol.


Boar bristle brush one of their signature brush! Made of tufts of pure boar and nylon.

Sanitized pneumatic brush (RM80)- I bought tis long ago, but didn't blog about it. It works like an air brush, creates volume to my flat and thin hair.

Burt's Bees Workshop rocks my world!!

I've attended the Burt's Bees Workshop in Royale Bintang Hotel at Curve on 24/4/10. I must say the workshop is one of the best one I have been. I have learnt all about Burt's Bees products and company. Burt's bees offers earth-friendly natural skincare, beauty and personal care products.

After the briefing, we had Yogataal session by the pool, sponsored by CandiSoo Fitness. I thought the yoga gonna be short, turns out is an hour session. It was a power yoga, sweat alot, but feels good after that especially the relaxing part. After the yoga session, each of us receive a RM190 cash voucher redemption from CandiSoo fitness.

Next, we headed back to the conference room, change to our normal clothes instead of fitness attire. Had a refreshing honey lemon drink, and some finger food. The workshop continues to teach us on using DIY homemade ingredient to create face mask. Main ingredients are eggs, honey, and rosemary essential oil. Stir them till nicely blend, apply on face for 1o mins, rinse off. I felt my skin is tighter (not to be mistaken as the dryness tight), smooth and whole complexion brightens.

Recipe for DIY face mask:
dry skin: egg yolk and honey
oily skin: egg white and honey
normal/combo skin: whole egg and honey
(all could add a small drop of rosemary essential oil).

Next, Bobbi Brown training manager Carina, showed us Pretty Powerful video presentation. It's their latest campaign, a contest to seek out 15 different gals, regardless of age, sizes and skin color who express how they wan to be look pretty n beautiful in a simple way. I love the make over, not too overly make-up, but focus on enhancing the features to achieve a finished look.

Cupcake workshop!

Yesterday attended a fun learning cupcake workshop organised by Nuyou magazine at Cake Connection in JayaOne. Nancy, our instructor, frendly yet professional taught us how to bake the cupcakes, and demonstrates a few decorating tips. We had hands-on decorating on our cupcakes.
I decorated 4 cupcakes on my own! Which do you love to buy?? RM8 cheap cheap. LOL. Kidding not for sale. Mayb next time if am a master of cupcakes, then I can start selling them onine...in my dreamzzz.

Here continue to the 2nd cupcake fondant making. It's pretty challenging and need alot of preseverance, patience!! It's also fun coz is like Play-doh. This is what I did. Looks like came out from Prep-school!! Hahahah am very bad in this.

Amy Beh Cookin' Demo @ Hotel Armada

Last Sunday at 2pm, me n my friend attended Amy Beh's cookin demo held in Hotel Armada, free! Thanks to Miu, who told me to call certain number to attend this free class. Too bad that she couldn't turn up, as last min she got no transport.

The coo kin demo started with the introduction of the multiple cooking steamer from I-chef. A special appearance of a local celebrity actress - Susan. So the cooking demo has a lot of promo on I-chef products such as the ozone disinfector and the steamer, and some other useful info chipped in on eating healthily.

Due to me came in late, so I've got a seat at the back row. Didn't get to see clearly Amy's cooking, but i could see it from the projector (which is quite blur). But luckily we have copies of the recipes on hand while looking at her cook.

She taught 3 Chinese new year dishes: Golden prosperity kuih, Abundance Every yr (Fish dish), and Fatt choy kai (chicken dish). We only tasted the kuih, as the organising team which is the I-chef group told us that the hotel policy is no food tasting allow in the conference room. How disappointing. Oh, by the way, all the dishes above are mostly steamed. using Ichef steamer.

Anyway when she cooked the fish dish, I left after that when they're starting to have lucky draws for whoever spends money to buy I-Chef cookware. I don't really find this cooking demo fruitful, maybe should have try Amy Beh's other cooking class which we could have a free hands- on cooking class.
